Vlad Tenev

Vlad Tenev is the co-founder, CEO, and Chairman of Robinhood, the commission-free trading platform he started with Baiju Bhatt in 2013 after the two Stanford classmates built trading software companies together in New York. Born in Bulgaria and raised in the US, he served as co-CEO with Bhatt until taking the sole CEO role in November 2020, and led Robinhood through its 2021 Nasdaq IPO. Under Tenev, Robinhood has pushed aggressively into crypto, launching tokenized stocks, staking, and its own Ethereum layer 2 built with Arbitrum technology. He also co-founded the AI startup Harmonic in 2023.
