Sam Kazemian

Sam Kazemian is the founder of Frax Finance, the decentralized stablecoin protocol he began developing in 2019 and launched on Ethereum mainnet in December 2020, pioneering the fractional-algorithmic stablecoin design and later the Frax Price Index "flatcoin" pegged to consumer prices. The Frax ecosystem has since expanded to include the frxUSD stablecoin, backed in part by BlackRock's tokenized BUIDL fund, and the Fraxtal network. Born in 1993, he graduated from UCLA with a double major in philosophy and neuroscience, and in 2014 co-founded the wiki-based online encyclopedia Everipedia (now IQ.wiki) from his dorm room, serving as its president. Forbes named him to its 30 Under 30 finance list in 2023 for Frax's growth.
