Michael Egorov

Michael Egorov is the founder and CEO of Curve Finance, the decentralized exchange he launched in 2020 that became core DeFi infrastructure for low-slippage stablecoin and like-asset trading. A physicist by training, he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, earned a bronze medal at the 2003 International Physics Olympiad, and worked as a post-doc physicist experimenting with ultra-cold atoms before moving into software, including infrastructure work at LinkedIn. He co-founded NuCypher, a proxy re-encryption network that later merged into the Threshold Network, serving as its CTO through Y Combinator and beyond. More recently he founded Yield Basis, a protocol aimed at generating yield while eliminating impermanent loss.
