Mert Mumtaz

Mert Mumtaz is the co-founder and CEO of Helius, the leading infrastructure provider for Solana developers, offering RPC services, APIs, indexing, and the Orb explorer that much of the Solana ecosystem depends on. Before founding Helius, he was one of the earliest engineers at Coinbase's Canadian office, following earlier roles at Shutterstock and BlackBerry. He is one of the most prominent public advocates for Solana, known for blending technical argument with humor for a large following on X, and he played a visible role in Solana's first binding onchain governance vote to accelerate SOL's inflation reduction. More recently he has become a vocal champion of onchain privacy, promoting Zcash and pushing to build ZK privacy layers for Solana.
