Cooper Turley

Cooper Turley, better known as Coopahtroopa, is an investor, curator, and writer who became one of the most visible champions of music NFTs and the web3 creator economy. He co-founded Friends With Benefits, the token-gated cultural DAO that raised $10 million in a round led by a16z, was an early advisor to the decentralized streaming platform Audius, and spent time as a partner at Variant Fund. In 2022 he launched Coop Records, a $10 million fund structured as a hybrid venture fund, record label, and incubator investing in web3 music startups, artist seed rounds, and music NFTs. He also wrote the long-running weekly newsletter This Week in Music NFTs, a go-to resource for artists entering the space.
