Alex Van de Sande

Alex Van de Sande is a Brazilian designer and developer who joined the Ethereum Foundation in 2014, where he led the Wallet and Mist browser projects and became one of Ethereum's earliest voices on usability. During his time at the Foundation he co-founded the Ethereum Name Service (ENS) with Nick Johnson, the naming system that turned hexadecimal addresses into human-readable .eth names. After leaving the Foundation he founded UniLogin, an onboarding-focused smart contract wallet, and later worked with Balancer Labs. He remains an active ENS delegate and public goods steward, known onchain as avsa.eth.
