ZKV presents Privacy on Polkadot Introduction

Transcript

get started so welcome everyone and thanks for joining us to our event uh this is the second edition of privacy and polkadot that ckb has hosted and um this oh event is supported by the polkadot treasury so we applied for a grant and then that's used to fund this event and i think we'll just pop a link in the chat to show you a bit more about how the funding process works and also to know anna was just up there and we're collaborating with the zero knowledge podcast to be a media partner for this event so all of the videos will be available there later and anna will be moderating some panel discussions

through this event so xero knowledge validator if you don't already know we're a validator we're active on eight different networks and we have a mission to champion privacy and zero knowledge technology on all of the blockchain networks that we're active on so we do this in a number of ways we host events we want to rally the community share what's going on in terms of technological developments and then we also have direct investments and give grant funding to zero knowledge projects and we actually have expanded the team lately so agnieszka and hector have joined us and they've been helping a lot with organizing this event

agnes in particular and hector of marketing and just to touch on the networks that we are active on within polkadot we have a validator on polkadot kusama and then we also have a co-later on moon river and we are also active on networks outside of the polkadot ecosystem and you may be interested them or maybe not it's a polkadot focus event but just for reference that's sallow meaner cosmos osmosis and near and just want to mention a few things to look out for and that we're doing as an organization and just in terms of this

event some housekeeping so we are hoping to launch a collateral on moonbeam so when that's live um it would be great to have support there as well in terms of other events that we're running this the zk hack mini is not specific to pokedart but it's just a general initiative an event that's aimed at teaching people more about how to use zero knowledge tech so we have workshops which are focused on learning about specific subject areas and then we have a puzzle competition which is where you get a chance to try and solve a broken protocol find the bug in the code basically and then the first one to submit the correct

answer will win a prize we also have grant funding in collaboration with get coin so we're running a dedicated zero knowledge technology side round so we actually ran off our side round last year in december in the gr12 grants round and it was really successful we had loads of contributions it was the most popular side round um there are lots of other side rounds which are dedicated to ecosystems specific causes such as like the uni swap round polygon round and the zero knowledge attack round was the first time we'd done this and we're going to run another one and this time it should be bigger and there should be more projects and if you have a project this

is like a really great opportunity for you to raise some extra money to kickstart whatever you're doing um also we have an event feedback form so if you like the event or have any suggestions please fill it in so that we can do things better next time and also to look out for this is why we asked um if we could use your mailing your email address is that we're looking to launch a newsletter dedicated to use in the polkadot ecosystem so that will be launching very soon so if you're interested in subscribing you could also leave your email address in the event feedback form and just mention that you would like to subscribe so then in terms of the schedule for

today so we have my brief introduction then i'm going to hand over to alistair and alex who are going give um a brief update on the polkadot pioneers prize and from my understanding there's a dedicated zero knowledge section then we'll have a talk from jeffrey burgess on artworks and substrate then we'll have a talk by sota and from astar then a talk from derek from moonbeam then we'll have a panel discussion with um rob rob derek and this will be moderated by anna and also prenay and then we have a talk from shumo from manta and then we'll have another panel
