ZK HACK III - Evolution of the MASP circuit in Namada - Anoma - Part 2
30 Nov 2022 · 57:15
This ZK HACK III session from Zero Knowledge traces the evolution of the multi-asset shielded pool (MASP) circuit used in Namada, from its origins in Zcash's Sapling protocol through its later extensions. The walkthrough covers how the underlying cryptography supports a unified shielded set and enables privacy-preserving applications, including shielded set rewards and decentralized finance use cases built on top of the MASP design.

foreign [Music] it's been a long break so maybe you've forgotten a bit about um what the what we've been talking about but I'm going to try and quickly recap um about uh what Joe was getting at in that with the multi-asset suited for we have the ability to construct new asset types through a linear combination of pre-existing asset types a potential issue we might run into when doing this
is that we may create negative asset types which are not great because it will allow you to um print an infinite amount of assets but there are other times when we actually may want to have a linear combination of of asset types to allow for conversions so you can think of this as as burning and minting assets right so when you have uh a um a new asset type that consists of say
negative eth and positive rough teeth then you could um send your asset through your if through this conversion and it will burn your Eve um an output a wrapped teeth and this is the basic principle for what we have coined as a conversion circuit and also to carry out this uh Joe if you have any anything to say just please hop
in and unmute yourself at any point um so I don't make any major errors um but yeah so uh what the masp is checking for is that there is this net value zero created um so that if we want to create any type of conversion then um the conversion defines exactly what is um net value zero so if I have um and in this sense we have this like law of conservation of cryptographic assets where tokens can either be created or destroyed
um except for these new assets which which allows for these conversions so more formally um a valid predefined conversion is a list of tuples um so you can say A1 V1 A2 V2 um theoretically infinitely long list but in practice usually just two from from what we thought of um and you can define a new asset generator uh bbcc as the the sum of these um Vis which we put in Brackets to Define to indicate that these are their
integer values multiplied by the asset generator of the asset type we're interested in and this multiplication isn't the normalized arithmetic one that we think about it's it's over uh over an elliptical so um let's just jump back to reality bit and think of a very uh applicable example uh that that um we've tried to tackle uh through our lifetimes and then the cryptographers and that is creating a stable coin so uh if it was as simple as this then we
could in theory make a conversion whereby we have the stable coins as a generator and then uh our um already kind of accepted notion of the asset we're trying to paint to um and another asset generator uh God knows how we're going to get that into into the blockchain but in this sense you could have have a conversion where if you send the stable coin you're guaranteed to get exactly one um USD or whatever type you're trying to
achieve out on the other side and this would be done completely anonymously right because you these conversions are conversions in their tourist sense there there is no counterparty there is no um public exchange there's no need for shielding around shielding anything uh it's simply just ensures that the condition of net value created or destroyed as zero um so for nomodo we want to incentivize the um idea of of public goods
um and we we believe that privacy is is a public good so we want to um incentivize users for keeping their Assets in their shielded pool so how would we go about doing that um without asking people okay how much is the on the shielded pool okay we believe you we can't see it uh we're going to send you some or uh another way I guess would be to to ask them to prove that they had it but then there there's no point in that right because we're just um leading privacy which is the public good we're trying to protect so if we
create let's say Epoch based tokens so we would have um I wonder if you can see my mouse on the screen perhaps not but so if we have um let's say two we have num tokens which is our native asset um denominated in every box so each each num asset in the shielded board is different from one another based upon which which Epoch they were um uh generated in um and then as epochs go on the you can convert any previous Epoch Nam token to
a current Epoch num token and that conversion ratio is something like negative Nam Epoch one plus one num Epoch two plus 0.5 num epoch2 so you get an additional 50 num for each ebook that is obviously a very high rate of inflation but um in this sense you could create a incentivized shielded pool without breaking any forms of privacy guarantees but
that is what we thought about doing right and in a sense we we think of this Workshop as a place to generate new ideas and a place to let engineers and thinkers like yourselves to to come up with uh ways to to apply these ideas um onto other things so new things and we'd love to to see it uh used um so [Music] um I was sitting and brainstorming about what potential ideas um you could use this for and one I came up with which was quite interesting was the idea of having shielded prediction
markets prediction markets for those of you not very familiar um are quite fun ideas where you can well essentially it's you're betting on um doesn't need to be about but usually binary outcomes um so let's say will um iron my presentation in time yes no um and there's a probability on this happening um and in a transparent prediction Market uh that question would exist let's say and let's say
uh there's if it does um so there would be some token like Bank finishes his presentation on time and if I do this token evaluates to let's say 100 to keep them or 100 usdc sorry or die or um then and if I do not then um the the opposing token let's say um generates uh 100 die then this this token would be would be traded on the market
um or uh let's say if the probability of me finishing in time is around 30 then it would be trading at around Point uh around 30 30 die um because obviously if if there was actually a higher likelihood of that happening then someone could come in and buy it and then an expectation they're making profit anyways um the finance part of it's not not the interesting part the interesting part is that it's possible to do this I believe using just the the convert circuit um so some additional things that we
required in order to make this work would be a trusted Oracle for the blockchain um or an ensemble of competing selling point articles like chain link where we have uh some some source of truth right that because we need to evaluate let's whether this this binary outcome actually does occur um and then we'd we'd need some some form um of contract or what we call validity predicates that handle the creation and deletion of these Converse circuits um and then in order to facilitate trading we might want some counterparty Discovery uh in in some front end right so that like people uh users sorry can
um be what's English word um uh they can decide by themselves how much privacy they want to leak in finding these counterparties um obviously it's just a friend then they don't need to at all publicize the whole world um who they're trading with and what they're trading and then uh if people really don't trust each other might need some escrow contracts to to ensure that the trade goes through but the idea is is this right so we create um so yeah uh I guess I um somewhat relevant example is Will England win the FIFA 22 World Cup
then we initiate this convert circuit whereby any user can go and mint both one yes England token and one no England token for 100 now with the idea that once the result has been decided the yes England token will be able to be converted for 100 num um if they do win uh otherwise will be worthless and the knowing the token will be able to be converted for 109 if they don't win
vice versa so the the benefit behind this is that we uh we don't need some some writer of contracts we don't need some some trusted point where users can go and and talk to um someone who will give them prices like you don't need a you don't need a today I guess things exist on a place like Aurora where they need um liquidity providers and better exchange where you have bookies um that ladies holds for you and write them but instead it it could could be literally anyone because in this in this conversion you're not
creating or destroying any value um if you decide to do nothing here one of these will always value to 100 and the other will always value to zero so um this conversion is uh benign in that sense um and then you can go and trade these so um let's say Tom is my proud English friend uh believes with very high certainty that the that England will win uh the World Cup and uh me being I guess less enthusiastic I could trade with him
um let's say um one yes token for 99 um or 18 um or however uh strong his belief is and I still keep my New England token so potentially I can make up to uh I guess 180 um Nam um if they don't win or 18 um if they do win uh and um once the uh World Cup winner has been decided you can just open up the convert circuits that allow you to convert your
prediction tokens for their respective values um so yeah uh to recap the benefits of this over what currently exists is that you don't need some centralized party to handle um the uh the payouts to ensure that one person pays the next because um all of the Nam will already exist in the pool because they cannot do that if they haven't been converted initially you don't have to attract the supply of these tokens nobody has to reveal what they've been trading so Tom doesn't uh know that the Traders is trust by thinking nothing will not win
um and and other benefits like that and um yeah I'm sure you can think of other other benefits for for being able to do this privately but uh those were my ideas um and then on the motto we um have these incentivized subs or we have these subsidies for um providing assets to the shielded pool um and that's uh I I think is is a great idea necessary but let's let's take some steps forward into thinking about when blockchains become really mainstream and ideally we'd be doing all
of our transfers all of our transactions on on a blockchain and what we try to motivate is that we we don't want to be doing this all on a transparent blockchain because I don't want literally everyone to see all the transactions I'm making um because it just so happens that when I'm buying Christmas presents I don't want the people that I buy Christmas presents for to to know what I bought um beforehand so um regardless we get to this point and the government says no we refuse to allow for private blockchains because we can't tax people uh if we don't know how much money they have
right but if we convert create convert circuits where we enforce that the only legal tender is the um latest Epoch then um you can um tax people in a completely Anonymous Way by ensuring that as they update their tokens uh certain amounts get either burnt or created in the name of of of the government or whatever body exists um and it doesn't need to necessarily be um just a tax for the res for the sake of Taxation but it could also act as a
stick let's say for people that um if we go back to our example of trying to incentivize shielded um Assets in the shoulder pool then we might want to incentivize active assets initial look forward by saying okay if you haven't converted uh in the past 10 epochs then uh you'll be taxed um so it incentivizes people to keep their assets updated um then uh another idea is perhaps to use it for voting and crowdfunding um so my idea here was that we could distribute vote tokens and people can vote anonymously perhaps in a private
dial where they um there exist certain proposals and they can convert to their vote tokens for voted for ex-proposal tokens um and you would have no idea of um who voted for what um and not even actually how many people voted for it until you um collect them and and reveal it um but then you can um so so you could like create some um revealing mechanisms still with zero knowledge so that nobody has to reveal um
who they were or you aggregated at some place and then that place reveals it um and then um once that is done you can um trade back your vote tokens for or appointed four tokens for new vote tokens for for the next proposal so that they're um compatible and the same goes for for funding projects so that once it's successful you can get your sorry if it's not successful you can open this other circuit and get your money back and if it is accessible then that's great foreign example I thought it was um uh perhaps using it for um nfts right we don't distinguish
between using um there are c20s or erc72 on so uh whatever other um token standards exist um so you could be able to to use your um your serums and your upgrades to your nfts over time um without telling the old world that you've done so which which could have been an interesting application as well um and finally I've or we I keep saying oh yeah this is a of course a um collect collective effort uh I've been thinking about an idea for a shielded lending and borrowing
and what I mean by that is ideally right we would be able to create the Ave equivalent or the compound equivalent um privately um but it proves to be quite difficult um however we can quite easily create shielded Landing whereby you have um you can convert uh assets for Lent assets um anonymously and then these lent assets could receive some interest based on their Epoch difference if they're ebook to dominated um boss the problem with with doing this for
borrowing is that lender tokens are are very fungible it doesn't really matter um as long as they existing in the pool then there are no collateral requirements to be met there are other guarantees um but when you're borrowing uh each each bar has a different risk profile each bar has a different amount of collateral that they've provided um and and it's not as easy making these fungible and because and when things aren't fungible it's hard to uh to keep it uh anonymous because you you want to aggregate them into into a pool so um I'm going to leave that question with
with you guys and I think that if you can solve this it will be a very interesting application um and and uh will probably be necessary uh at some point if if we want to if we have this dream of having zero knowledge blockchains um that can do everything um so yeah that I promise to make it quick I didn't realize it would be that quick but um I'm very happy to take any any questions any thoughts concerns um about this this half of the presentation and I'm sure Joe will be willing to
answer any um yeah about a sport I'll also jump back on um yeah we are a little bit early one thing is I I think Kobe's not quite ready to present puzzle two yet um so yeah we will have a bit of time to kill if there are questions um it's really great to put them in the Q a oh I think there is actually one so
why don't we answer a couple of these questions and then yeah I'll just see if we can get Kobe over I know someone has also asked in another chat about networking further and that's actually something we can totally do today if people want to stick around to meet other participants I think it'd be really fun to do that after but yeah for now do you want to for do you want to um just maybe read this tamira's question um yeah so yeah Tamir asks uh maybe you said this already but in the world in the world cup example is the end conversion coded in advance um based on some future predicate and it's wouldn't uh it wouldn't be necessary um
as long as you can guarantee that the yes and no tokens um as a sum can always be traded back for for a hundred num but um yes uh you you'd need some guarantee that these these assets aren't going to end up being um worthless at some point so you make a very good point there but I'm sure that that uh could easily be done with a validity predicate or a smart contract that ensures that um I hope that answers that question um but what's here that's a very good point Bogdan actually asked something that I
can answer is the new puzzle somehow connected with today's information I would say no connection planned in any way um so I have I I would say like I I can't give anything away but like I I know that that was not something that we discussed internally so yeah I mean if you're really revealing no information about the puzzle then there's always a small probability that like you'll Collide by change oh mm-hmm um yeah are there any other questions
for Joe or banked I think we have a little bit of time still in this session I wonder is there anything else that either of you would be able to share like maybe even like links or ways because you would ask this question at the end there like is there any directions you can point people into yeah how to get into that yeah very good um Point actually so we do have the
uh our code on on GitHub is is very um useful if you want to take this out of the box and start implementing directly without having to read write a bunch of code um so I would like to to share our GitHub repo um I can do that in the chat I'm not sure because my link um's asking about sort of getting some easier simpler beginner level stuff I'm
going to add some separate links that are more just beginner content if you're interested in just general ZK stuff but anyway go ahead banked please yes uh and then if you want to read a bit about um the I guess going a bit deeper context and and read off a bit more on what Joe's lights were based off of there is uh paper here where we board a lot of ideas from the zcash as protocol specification but it could be a good read yeah
yeah I I would just add um I think the uh the zcash protocol specification um while being quite good um again is not necessarily Light reading I mean it's a hundred something pages and it's it's rather dense and um and also it very specifically is describing you know the the zcash protocol right and it's not necessarily describing it well a generic uh or or a high level description of things it's describing it's very specific protocol right
um nevertheless it's still you know a great reference for for learning how this stuff works but um but it doesn't necessarily um teach you um and and there's maybe a lack of resources which are um more primarily instructional in nature um which could be you know sort of read linearly um but also it doesn't really um teach you anything about um zero knowledge application design in general or has zero knowledge proofs um work uh because this protocol spec is not designed to do that
um and so um other uh other resources would be better for um for example for for learning how how CK snacks work in general um a more generic Source would be better for that um because these specifications are not going to to describe that at all um it's it's just going to be assumed that um um those things kind of work as they do in a black box yeah and I agree with Joe there because I I don't come from cryptography
background and all the information that I've uh collected have been most um most useful from from the said cash specification but has been a very long read and I would highly recommend to stay motivated to to go on some of the shorter reads first okay cross-bike I guess the the bigger idea um and then uh yeah I go more granule when when needed um I have a sort of side question do you have any sort of um I don't know if you if either of you are in any way involved in your trusted setup but I am curious to hear how how
is it going because it sounds like there's a lot of interest yeah um oh yeah do you want to speak about we run into Joe actually fixed a little um front-end um mess up but I mean otherwise it's been going perfectly um yeah there was a little bit of eui uh um issues to start but um but otherwise um the underlying cryptography is is very much um just uh the same um multi-party computation that was used to set up sapling in the first place and so it's um
you know very uh um time tested I guess is the way to describe it um and it's uh it's uh it's very efficient um interest uh seems to be quite High um I um I I think uh um it's it's good if if people can participate and um and also um post public attestations um I mean the the idea is that um hopefully um if you want to actually use one of these circuits um that either uh you know you've participated yourself or or you um
um actually have have some kind of uh trust connection to someone who participates who you uh for whatever reason suspect has um you know uh participated uh correctly um I mean when when you get a public ceremony which has um thousands and thousands of people um um you're really hoping that at least one person is uh uh um done it correctly which uh I I think um given uh um the state of the sapling setup which I think had maybe 90 people I don't remember for for the um the second phase um it's certainly a a much more
expansive ceremony um and and uh um it's certainly more interesting also to to involve a large number of people obviously the point from Francois actually uh in the chat but this is a quick question about this um maybe you want to just read it or yeah privacy oriented projects have been on the right lately no no this is actually in the chat this is from Francois just in regular chat yeah oh yeah uh yeah is it um uh yay as a contributor as a trusted setup is ridiculous and smooth um what Max proof size did you go for uh
the computational burden was lower than I expected uh yes so um so the computational burden is actually significantly lower than the Z CashPoint one um and this is not just because of like you know technology improvement over over the years um which it which it which is a little bit um uh a little bit the code has just improved over time um but um but the primary reason is is in fact that um uh Z cash hadn't uh did not just have to do the sapling upgrade they also had to do um um
like they weren't just implementing the sapling protocol they were doing a sapling upgrade they were upgrading Sprout uh from the old Sprouts protocol to um to sapling and so they had to um do the setup for the old Sprout join split circuit at the same time and of course it wasn't revealed at the time but um there was the infamous bug in the Sprout trusted setup that they also had to to fix at the same time um but by doing the the growth 16 setup for for the Sprout circuit um and so the Sprout circuit because
they did the setup for that as part of the sapling ceremony um the Sprout Circa is much larger um I mean sapling was was a really huge upgrade in terms of performance and so um so being able to do uh having to do the Sprout setup at the same time um actually kind of slowed them down um uh whereas um with masp um there's no Legacy Sprouts pool to deal with and so um we just get rid of of the Sprout circuit entirely and so um uh we had we had a the convert circuit to also do this for converge circuits very small
um and so uh yeah so when you consider all the different things you know Hardware has improved a lot over four or five years um software has improved a lot and we didn't have to just Sprout set up um that contributed a lot to to being more efficient um and having an automated coordinator um which is uh um I I believe based in um aoeo uh Alias coordinator having automated coordinator helps scale the ceremony a lot a lot easier you just join um and you don't have to deal with like receiving the file receiving files and uploading files it's all handled by the
coordinator um and so that gives the perception at least the the contribution is on sort of there um but there's like a step taken out there in a lot of ways I guess yeah it makes it kind of more frictionless um well but uh um yeah it definitely um it seems like demand's very high to participate totally I'm hoping that I'm hoping that at least some of the anonymous contributors are um like actually uh um like uh um contributing in some way uh uh to to um the public conference I guess of the
ceremony because um if if they're just contributing for themselves it's okay it helps themselves but it's better if um like people um know that there's a very wide variety of people people with different incentives shall we uh jump on to a few of the questions so there are two questions three questions there's another one here um I'm happy to take hakon's question um do you want to say it out do you want to read it sure so yeah so how Concepts products oriented projects have been on the rise lately because of the increasing pressure in crypto which is going towards centralization and the future of such projects will be under
pressure what do you think um so yes um I am sure you've all heard about the tornado cache incidents or whatever you want to call it which we um yeah um is perhaps not directed in in the way that I would have done it had I've been the social planner but um yeah these will all come under regulatory pressure because of the nature that they are taking away power from controlling
entities um so we like to live on the approach where we we build technologies that um should be neutral to to to this where you could in principle Implement um everything that that you should need to implement um like um if you could prove what um that you have not interacted with any addresses on the sanctioned list that should be sufficient for the regulator so um we've that is definitely possible using our technology
um and then you can provide other proofs that Ensure people that that here are being a law abiding citizen and hopefully this should be enough to to um to get us to to a place where we want to go we also need to to work together to to uh push the push the narrative that the Privacy is is essential for protecting human beings um it's we we can't yeah so I feel like the government also or not the government but any regulatory body needs needs to see the perspective that um when everything is public
um untransparent we uh unintentionally perhaps amidst a lot of a lot of information and data of that um that could be even a security like a national security risk um and uh is is definitely can be infringing on on people's rights to having an opinion and things like that so um yeah we need both uh not not just building and Technology about building in the term like in a social sense where we
try to Spread spread these ideas that we hold we need to convince people run but yeah I don't know maybe Joe you have another something else yeah I I think one of the um really great benefits of of um sticking close to to the sapling design um and uh and inheriting a lot of the nice features is um you get the features which are important like the uh the Southpoint key schedule which allows for incoming and full viewing keys and um um transaction memos and all these other features which are really designed to make it
um you know I I'm not the person to ask about policy but uh um on the technological side um you know building uh as many of these features in as possible where um it's really possible to um to to provide uh these guarantees uh as much as you can to um to help people meet whatever policy requirements there are um is really important there was two questions that I don't
think are super I mean I don't know if they're related to anything you feel you were talking about but maybe we can rephrase one of them which is like you received a lot of requests for The Trusted setup I think that's maybe what that means did you expect that and then will there be any sort of second trusted setup okay not right oh maybe for a Noma actually you have to do a separate one for a Noma um a Noma will not have a second trusted setup okay because um uh I uh you know of course um you can never uh predict the future entirely but um
but uh from my perspective um um growth 16 which is the reason that you need a circuit specific setup uh growth 16 is great and I mean the fact that it's still um basically state of the art in some ways in um 2022 and 2023 is amazing um but there's some real uh there's some really good technology uh out there now and um uh I think Halo 2 is incredibly exciting uh proof system and I think by the time anoma is launching that's what's possibly going to be under the
hood um I think there's uh um a non-negligible chance is that um I from my perspective I do not I do not foresee any need for more trusted steps in the future oh wow I think um I I think it's it's just uh um there's some philosophical kind of uh reasons why you know some people might prefer of not have an interested set up um certainly um there's a you know this qualitative difference between having a trusted setup and not um from from a sort of social perspective
um there's really not from a cryptographic perspective because again as long as one person completes the ceremony successfully um and honestly which I mean I don't see how that can cannot happen but but you know it's theoretically possible but um cryptographically you know if the ceremony is completely successfully um there's not really much cryptographic difference um but um but again you know you're exchanging a cryptographic kind of assumption for a social assumption which is different and if you just don't want a social assumption I yeah it's
that's important um but but I think mostly um um you know uh doing these ceremonies is maybe uh uh so although it's a lot of fun to participate it's uh it's not maybe the most productive use of like the community um I I think maybe uh um takes away the focus a little bit on um like what interesting things that um these systems can do and um it's maybe technologically not not not so necessary anymore makes sense cool and so but but if I if I have
anything to do with it I I think I think this will be the last um okay and whether we expected such strong demand um I I don't know because I wasn't involved on the planning side but um uh I think certainly interests just is very strong in general and um for example yep frizzy Kate stuff and and uh even just um from a curiosity point of view um it's it's like something very fun and interesting to participate in um and uh I I think that that's a yeah that's reason enough for a lot of people
to to participate and so um fantastic I want to say a big thank you to both of you for this great Workshop uh and thank you so much for answering these questions and it did fill up the time in the end so we worked it up it worked out really good because I think questions just take a little while to get going but well thank you for having us yeah yeah thank you uh will I be will you guys pop by the job fair uh yeah Thursday amazing this is also for anyone listening the drop Fair actually I'm about to talk about it in these slides this is kind of our concluding slides but yeah we're doing that on Thursday so
I guess I'll see you there bye guys um stick around for a little bit to the audience uh I will be doing a hold on I'm just going to grab this up okay just me so before you leave don't leave yet because we are about to announce the puzzle T2 Kobe she popped up a little early there um but I'm glad you're here now um I first want to say a bit of a thank you to some of the sponsors which we didn't actually mention earlier Partners the workshop hosts basically a
big thank you to everyone so today we heard from anoma but there are a number of Workshop hosts and I think you obviously if you're looking at our schedule you know this but I want to say big thank you to anoma and Aztec and ilio and risk zero as well as our mid-tier uh Workshop sponsor scroll ovum Labs privacy and scaling exploration from the EF and sismo I want to say a big thank you to the community sponsors trapdoor Tech sunscreen Lambda class and 1kx and I made a separate slide now for the zkv team because there's a ton of people from the zkb team who are helping on this event as well as geometry because geometry has really been managing the puzzles and so I just wanted to make
sure that both these entities were highlighted here um okay oh and the team this is the team that's put this together thank you to everyone this is us you might see us in chats okay we're here we are at the point of releasing puzzle T2 I am excited um Kobe just a quick question is a leaderboard live not yet it will go live in the same time with the puzzle with the puzzle okay so in this right now what we're going to hear about is what puzzle T2 is all about maybe you can give us some sense for how people should approach it a little bit of a tip
yes definitely all right let's let's dig into this all right so puzzle T2 power corrupts so this is very exciting this is a puzzle that was created by Dan bonnet's team in the black cryptography group at Stanford so this includes Trisha and DT and this puzzle is about a topic that someone some people mention some time and it's about the security of large trusted setups essentially and how it relates to specific properties of a
curve and this touches upon the chain attack algorithm that some of you may have heard and if not it's a really good chance to get to know it because it's really interesting um yeah so that's what the puzzle is going to be about again it's in artworks and this time it's going to require also some computing power like you will need to run your computer and make and it will it may get heated for 20 minutes or something but it's worth it okay exciting stuff thank you Kobe and I as you mentioned I guess it'll go live on the website shortly maybe we can just share I'll just share a link to the
website in the meantime so this is CK hack uh Slash zikihack.dev VK hack I I here um it's here where if you look for puzzle two this is where it's gonna first appear also if you're not yet in the Discord you should head over there because we'll be sharing links to all of this over there as well so you'll see it as it lands and as this is a time it's it's you're competing both for accuracy of solution but also for Speed I think someone was asking what you had mentioned there when you had said the I will write it in the chat you will see
all the details in the background materials but I will also write it here so it will be easy to see awesome but yeah like you said um fasted solvers get rewards but also the best write-ups so you can submit them whenever you want the puzzle finishes it Monday night so up until the last minute of the day UTC and uh yeah feel free to ask questions and form teams in the puzzle chat channel on Discord and have fun and maybe just one thing there there are going to be hints so we released three hints during the week keep so if you are stumped just keep your eye out for that when's the first one usually going out
Thursday or Friday no the first one usually goes out a day after the evening yeah cool awesome all right thanks Kobe I just have a few more things to say about in the next session um oops yes okay we are doing a session with Aztec on Thursday this is going to be a two hour workshop on the DSL Noir um I think I think they may they may have done workshops on this but I know this is one of the earlier workshops so if I think it would be really cool if you want to find out about that to join it um right after that session so this is on Thursday right after that we are also
going to be doing the ziki jobs fair this I've mentioned and teased a few times it's in this digital world like you get to have a little Avatar you can run around and meet people it's fantastic oh it's a fantastic way to kind of get to know your potential employers before going through any sort of formal process you can find out about available jobs you can just get to know the vibe of the company there will be I think some hiring folks there but also some Engineers so you could potentially meet like people you're going to be working with as well and just generally it's a cool place to go hang out after CK hack period like you will get to meet other participants as well it's
like the networking is one thing but this is a lot more casual and there's going to be some games we tend to play like poker at the end there's a bit of like I think this is the seventh or eighth time we're doing it so there is like we we kind of have fun we come to the space every once in a while and get to know each other and get to hang out so I hope to see you there the links for all this we're going to be mailing out we're going to be adding in the chat we're gonna like we'll definitely be getting it to you but uh keep your eyes posted put it in your like put it in your calendar the easiest way is just sign up for the next event for ZK hack we just put it in the chat there but CK
hack session four because then if you're signed up for that you will for sure be reminded you can put that in the calendar and yeah I hope to see you there one last thing is that we are like a lot of teams are starting to do their postings on the jobs board so if you're looking for oh yeah so uh Derek you just asked how long is a job fair running actually before I do that job fair is running usually about two hours it's like like I would try to get there earlier rather than later like assume for about an hour and a half it's pretty high activity and then by the end people kind of Trail off and then we tend to play poker and we kind of get distracted but I think for the beginning part everyone's a lot more focused and what
you'll see is like we have booths for the different Workshop hosts and you can actually like walk up to them and get to know what's going on and there's like little interactive things you can touch in the meantime check out the jobs board because we are getting the sponsors putting up their jobs right now and so they're sort of popping up this is very fresh jobs these are the jobs that they're also going to be talking about at the job fair you can already check them out um I don't know if we could actually add the link to that maybe in the chat or the perfect so um yeah I just wanted to let you know about that here's all our oh I just went blurry I don't know why that happened okay well here's all the rest of our links um we're at the end anyway so yeah
thanks so much for joining us for session three of the ZK hack three and we'll see you on Thursday puzzle is officially live oh yeah okay we'll add the link in YouTube oh what we could do right now is we can turn on networking if anyone does want to meet if anyone's still around I think we can do that yes okay we'll we'll put on networking um you have to refresh your browser I will hopefully not be blurry after that um and I think you'll stick around for another 15 15 20 minutes and then the event ends but uh enjoy ourselves and hope to see you in the Discord and hope to see you on Thursday the job fair and for the session bye
