super fizz here helicopter landing behind me covet is raging don't want to make any guesses i've learned two things about this uh don't put your arms on this because that fiberglass is shredding and it's giving me a rash and look at the camera so uh let's skip into all this let's talk about the eddc the ethereum due diligence committee it is what i'm most excited about right now i'm excited about something new every day but this is uh yesterday and today's thing ethereum due diligence committee is probably 10 to 12 respected community members

who come together to vet projects whether they are staking clients staking pools operating systems third-party tools and using a public rubric they evaluate these tools and give a public grade so so far i'm thinking maybe like a stoplight system with red yellow or green but i want to probably make that multi-layered so what i'm thinking is um red yellow and green obviously red is don't use it yellow is used with caution and green is good to go but then mixing that with a letter system because

three red yellow and green doesn't quite get enough and so i'd look for something like green being a and b um u safely yellow being c use with caution and then red projects would be d and f uh so the idea then would be to host these on a dot org something like eddc.org i probably already exist i don't know and then invite the community to um to provide simple feedback on that like a thumbs up or a thumbs down maybe link that into something like wallet balance which doesn't work well for ethereum two because

a lot of those oh should use validators the number of validators you have is the is your vote count or maybe i'll link it to something like poep that's really a great tool at any rate on the eddc.org site where you see a ranking or a rating say we're looking at a staking client let's say we're looking at lighthouse now i have invited lighthouse but i use it a lot and i believe lighthouse would be rated um as an a and green and probably have a score above 90 just based on personal experience and then you as a user can go and connect your metamask well okay it would be linked into the poep

system somehow and you could thumbs up or thumbs down that rating and so when you look at the user strength of that if there are a bunch of people who agree with that rating and it's green then you know this is probably good to go um and the flip side of that is let's say that we rate something at the eddc rate something as as good to go but then there are a lot of user votes against it then that's an indication that maybe it needs to be reevaluated not sure i know that's open for abuse but a lot of that has to be taken in stride because you've got to have user feedback you can't just have a committee with no accountability

um so i really look forward to getting this off the ground my my request is that this committee who is just forming this week with a lot of people who have either great experience great intuition great leadership that they would be able to vet the four [Music] before genesis block staking clients um as just a start and then as soon as the beacon chain launches they would begin vetting the staking clients like those listed on beacon chain um and so throughout time maybe like set a pace for how many that they would evaluate or re-evaluate each week

um and so ideally projects that are rated would have an opportunity to provide feedback or make corrections so that they can improve their ranking because what we really want is for everyone to be successful um and so we want every pr every project to be green lit and if if these veterans identify problems then they can bring those up now this is not an audit an audit would be like a formal code audit where someone comes through every line of code and looks for problems an audit would actually be like a separate thing that would feed information into this into the rubric that the due diligence committee uses a due diligence committee isn't saying

this will definitely work a due diligence committee is saying we looked at this project for an hour and it looks like something we can trust um and then we pass that to the community and the community says ah that's great or i don't think so anyway uh i'm excited about it i'm looking forward to getting it going and i hope it is a hit um i also thought last thing if we could get two of these going um and i have another community in mind and i'll speak with organizer that community if we could get two of these organizations running in parallel but not connected then we could compare ratings privately or compare ratings before they go public so that

that kind of reduces the likelihood of of poor decision making uh that's that's actually an an extra on top of the of the minimum viable product but just some i thought i had so anyway i hope you have a great day and um glad you're part of eaststaker take care
