hey everyone um I'm not going to do a big play byplay of everything that happened in the courtroom this morning um because we're at lunch and SPF is going to testify after lunch um the two witnesses that testified this morning were uh pretty uneventful I would say um basically um so the first one was a woman Crystal Rule and she was hired as spf's attorney on the morning of November 12th which was um the day after FTX applied for bankruptcy or filed for bankruptcy and she went with him to the um meeting with the Securities Commission of the Bahamas and so um she kind of just went through like what happened at the meeting and the transferring of the assets um it was pretty brief and then afterward uh when
the defense cross-examined her they said like you know did you know anything about what happened at FTX before that date before November 12th and she said no so um that's kind of uh basically the summary of that and then um after that there was a financial analyst or or uh he might have used a different title sorry I don't remember what it was but um his name was Joseph pimbley um and he uh kind of talked a lot frankly like I wrote in my notes that he was very talkative um and he described a lot about like coding in SQL and like um yeah how you use a SQL database um you know we took a break at one point and the some of the other reporters I spoke
with definitely were you know talking about how was um kind of Snooze worthy um I don't know why he went on at such length about like tables and whatever anyway point is that um I guess he uh had a pretty limited um task which was the defense had him make um some analyses of very specific snapshots of the aw database um of FTX or sorry of the FDX datab base on AWS and um it there like there were um some pie charts that show the percent of accounts that had either uh spot margin lending um Futures Trading and um sorry I forgot
what the other thing was but the point is that um at the end then the prosecutor went through and like said okay so it didn't include this it didn't include that um to the point where actually the judge got annoyed with him and like said something hilarious I actually I just realized maybe I should have gotten that for you guys um but the quote was something like when I was young I worked in my father's Del and if he gave me a list of things and their prices then I was supposed to add it up and if it was a list of smoked fish then I could assume it didn't include Pastrami and he listed like some other things that it wouldn't have included basically he was getting a little annoyed that the prosecutor kept saying so your analysis didn't include this it didn't include that it didn't include
Fiat ad it didn't include you know there were just like a bunch of things and um the judge was kind of like he already said that it didn't you know that it only included these things so anyway um and yeah basically that just ended and so yeah now we're all on a sun break and pretty soon Sam's going to testify um I happen to make it into the courtroom today um I will not tell you what ungodly hour I arrived at the courthouse because apparently I guess there's a Code amongst the journalists where you don't do that and since I have never been in the courtroom before I didn't know it and literally the first thing I asked to the people that I saw were ahead of me I was like oh my God what time did you get here um but yeah so won't reveal that um but let's just say
that um yeah it's going to be an interesting day for me um I'm quite a bit older than some of the other journals I'm competing against to try to get in the courtroom this this early so um you know kudos to me for actually making it here despite uh not having the um I guess biological Advantage um anyway so be back more uh with more later um after yeah oh oh shoot I forgot to tell you one last thing which is that um basically there's something and I didn't understand this I have to find a lawyer to look into this but basically I guess the um defense and the prosecution are arguing about um you know something it is that uh Sam can uh include in his testimony and so because there because
the judge hasn't ruled on it and isn't sure how he's going to rule he suggested that there is some part of the testimony where the jury is not present which is interesting I literally do not know what this is um but I think the details about that are still being worked out I think he's deciding so that is one other interesting thing that could happen and otherwise yeah I'll be back more with uh with more later after Sam starts his testimony
