Neville Grech, co-founder of the smart contract security firm Dedaub, presents research on predicting how EVM upgrades affect every contract already deployed on Ethereum, at Devconnect Istanbul 2023. The talk covers static analysis techniques for scanning deployed bytecode to flag which live contracts could break or behave differently after a given EVM change, addressing a real risk with every hard fork given how much value sits in unaudited, unmaintained contracts.
