foreign good very well thank you I I'm not sure if I should use this I feel like Hitler or something this is a ridiculous family right and I want to so I don't have any slides I don't have anything I just it happened this morning there's a free slot we need somebody to talk about something right so I would like to tell you about the the lovely space that we are hosting it brag at and like

let's make it chill informal it's last days we've been hacking parting for two days so you know I'll just if you have any questions feel free even during my talk uh feel free to ask and maybe I would sit or something and I said will you kill me for that organizers I would just you know yeah level right hey so I would like to talk about uh paraoni police about uh crypto Anarchy and bordel which I put the title in the talk and um uh because I would like to introduce you the the legendary place that uh we are in actually and for some of you maybe already gave tourists around the place and you heard it many times I'm like the

the historical guide of police say tell the stories behind it and there is many of them because the the idea of the place the name of the place goes way back and before I start maybe I would ask you is some of you first time in paranipolis in this place yeah many of you very well very well so so I have some audience uh if you heard it many times I'm sorry uh maybe get repeated but um but only police um the name comes from a text from more than 40 years ago and uh maybe you heard about vatslav Havel uh the first

president of Czech Republic and the one of the key personas in the dissident movement during the Communist Chico Slovakia the charter 77 which was a group of people who made a bunch of essays writings against the Communist Regime here about the immorality of what is happening within the country and uh between these people a colleague of that who wrote within Church of 77 uh basically Manifesto he explains the essay is called paralnipolis and he talks about building parole societies that's what police means like Society or

state and um uh in in his view he was reflecting on the movement at the day that we cannot really fight the regime we cannot fight the government because there is no top-down or bottom-up system how to change it there is no uh traditional social change mechanism in place they cannot vote because there is single party right I cannot change the system by voting I cannot um I cannot organize myself I can protests speak freely so uh the effective way how to achieve freedom is to uh forget about trying to change it and build the parallel one build a parallel Society with pearl structures which enable us to uh to have some

alternative to the system which doesn't work right and which means like free parole at education economy and um and this is so this is our idea which goes way back and I wouldn't say that he in the con he described the concept but we see this pattern all over the history uh over uh hundreds thousands of years that the parallel structures uh emerge but uh that was what we call paraly polis 1.0 and where you are uh sitting here or well actually there that's the Peroni police 2.0 like uh the the refreshment because there was there was not much Focus uh to uh to these ideas

of parani police After the Revolution and um in 2012 around like 10 years back uh uh this idea gets uh confronted with uh kryptonarchists uh there was there so so uh there is this Czech artist uh Community if you want to uh this is Artistic groups which um uh gave the branding the artistic feel to put on nipolis and the and the broad idea of paranipolis and this uh merges with the hacker crypto Anarchy Community from Slovakia and uh uh which which met these starters it was

it's many stories there but uh uh and and and and they decided to create a hacker space to create a place where we uh somehow merge the uh the digital and the the Physical Realm to build the Pearl police through the digital tools to the tools of crypto Anarchy because uh now you have uh by the way is it tells a new word for you because it used to be pretty like come on in the community years back but I guess today it's more of an maybe a bit more Niche and uh and maybe you know about Cypher punks about uh the movement from 80s firmware's from a people this was many uh known like uh scientists

programmers uh entrepreneurs who um uh you might heard about suffer back mailing list and uh this is this is the community from which or like the researchers were from from which many Technologies on which Bitcoin and therefore ethereum uh is built on Nick saber also and and these guys but one of them was Timothy May who've wrote in 1988 at the Manifest of crypto Anarchy and he takes the ideas for The Cypher Punk movement even further so research the goal there was to write a code to write uh documentation and right um uh build the tools to be able to protect ourselves from the government or

from the digital address in general to to achieve privacy and uh with the internet emerging it was uh it was uh much need for that and the crypto Architects it further because it imagines the world where this this digital realm is actually bigger than the physical one and I believe that's what's happening today uh the the internet is is well maybe even more important than the physical place these days right because like we have just the magic internet money here and everybody is building like conferences about that and making bunch of money right it's here uh and it'll you see directly in this form but it's also it's also the thing that the the government has and always will have

I believe the power over the physical world but it's losing or maybe even already lost the power in the digital one where we can use these tools uncensorable tools of crypto Anarchy to um to free ourselves right so yeah that's that's this place basically the goal is to educate about these uh to um to build community which which uh even produces helps with these tools and this is what's been happening here for last eight years so paralympolis was opened in 2014 uh by this group of hackers and artists a ridiculous group right like they want to run some some

place together it was a mess but um uh the the there are many Concepts as you could notice in the building it's divided into various Concepts when you enter there's a Bitcoin Cafe which is a a cafe open to public to anybody which accepts only uh well Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies um I know I'm not sure where I see how much time I have left let me know uh yeah um and um Bitcoin Cafe is just the front line of onboarding right like somebody comes from a street and he wants a cafe and the idea of the place is to educate him uh on how to well he can use the Bitcoin

or or whatever the crypto payment in just the simplest way possible just to get a cafe right and this can take him just less than a minute I took it down to like half a minute I believe sometimes and uh and uh it's it's it's a huge ux development actually happening there right I mean directly with with normal people facing this technology so so that's Bitcoin Cafe on the first floor where people are hacking right now with the lovely Terrace that co-working space called paperhap it's called paper Hub because at a time when the space was opened it was actually the cheapest and nicely designed way to build the the co-working with paper uh most of the

furniture was made out of paper and you can still see me many shelves and stab it over a years to get to get renewed of course and and the second floor is Institute of crypto Anarchy and the instant crypto Anarchy I'm sure you love The Branding there is a bunch of hoodies get some uh it's a really nice brand which uh yeah so so that's a place for the conferences for meetups for Community together and but it also supposed to work in kind of a think tank way where the Institute should represent the um something like eff maybe you know like uh represent the the digital um uh the values of the digital freedom and then maybe I took you to the

basement so actually when the police opened the years back in 2014-15 there was a in in the basement there was a maker slab it was like a lab uh Focus especially on 3D printing you might notice we still have some 3D printers there they are from prusa it's like uh um a fella here just few streets away great printers and he's supporting police so they've they've got a bunch of printers there but then they are basically grew into a business and moved to their own place and now uh during the years this place where bordel now is was not really utilized it used to be a storage unit so there was always a mass which we call bordel and uh we cleaned

it we started to Joseph actually from all the colleagues from Foundation he used to uh gem there just do music and you cannot hear it upstairs because in the basement right so so after we get some music equipment there we start to clean it and we turn it into a hackerspace and I have to you I'm so thankful or like I'm so glad there is ethereum community actually visiting Borel because uh I mean the Robson merged happened there it was our little necessant Center and it was fun uh and uh it's still open uh there's still some techno playing uh and if you just you know want to visit or like if you're hacking and you need some tools you need some maybe meet some hackers there uh maybe you do Hardware project you need

need some physical tools maybe you need some nodes so we are running bottle is running uh uh uh two Bitcoin notes moner node and uh Litecoin you know Dodge Coin node and to ethereum nodes one get full node and it used to be get archival node but I had to trim it down I'm sorry it's the Aragon archive note now but I have 12 terabyte [ __ ] machine right in the cafe so if you want to see that let me know it's it's my I'm proud that I managed to a random archive node physically because even get team itself couldn't done it I learned later so so we have we provide this to public you can find it on bordeaux.xyz it's just you can just put it in your meta mask or something so so um yeah that's bordel and there is next

to it is is also the YouTube studio um which well produces the the content right and on the YouTube channel of parallel police there is English one and check one but on both you find uh English content uh either from the studio itself where there is for example setup like the lovely lady which does the interviews she is uh she she has capacity in many fields and like explains many lists various stuff there um I have a talk there in Czech about how to run your own dark market and I explain stories of Russell bricks and so on so so uh you can you can find this content there and there are also uh there are also um uh recordings from the hcpp hackers

Congress Peroni police that's a flagship Conference of paralympolis which uh is generally about crypto Anarchy digital freedom and there have been many interesting speakers over the years and you can find most of them on the YouTube channel and hackers Congress is the annual conference it's happening again as every year uh and it's starting on 30 of September which is fine day goes to 2nd of October Sunday so please visit us this will be literally here and it's the part of it is ethereum Bitcoin or like this cryptocurrencies as a tools of crypto Anarchy but it's much broader there there are artists there are like various Technologies I know AI researchers are coming will be will be fun uh come to visit so yeah uh that's

like my pitch for probably have six minutes left okay good good I still have time to talk more about yeah do you have any questions or something like feel free to be interactive and somehow interrupt me ah yeah sorry do you host hello okay do you host a lot of events here for different uh crypto communities or is it uh mainly kind of focused on bitcoin or um so it's as I say the the crypto Anarchy it's it's uh all of these two like it's a very broad topic it's not just cryptocurrencies well it is crypto before crypto was crypto if you know what I mean so there is there there is

uh also like uh various communities not just and and like the Pearl police is the parallel system needs many more more uh things but like having digital economy like this is incredible so it's a big part of it there is many people from Bitcoin Community there are some bitcoiners uh there are there are people from ethereum Community right hey uh there is a bunch of Monroe guys because there are privacy extremists mostly here uh there is uh looking at him uh there is there is um uh some Litecoin maximalists actually because like what was happening here over years is like 2017 hit and you can't use Bitcoin Cafe right uh the fees are higher than the cafe itself so

people switch to Litecoin which have the same ux and and some people still chill it like come on you can just use it for fast payments and uh some stuff we were buying just now for bordel and for police with Litecoin because it was the quickest but uh yeah and many so I also research and play with lightning networks so like various Technologies which we find useful right and we give place to these communities which find their place here so so uh I'm really glad we had a Bitcoin conference here like three weeks ago it was pizza day conference and it was I I would say like liberal Bitcoin conference it's bitcoiners you would like to talk to like good people researchers or like people who understand technology and who are not dogmatic and uh this is really

recent now we have ethereum Community right there might be a moner conference next year so but these are like the crypto communities and it's it's one of the key values it's uh also definitely important part of it but like generally meetups and stuff happenings here there is there are biologists within like Enviro Community there was like open so hydropony they built as a project of Peroni police uh before they call it um there was uh there are some artists there are uh uh the AI because there was a whole like part of police was like AI research uh Community basically right so various various people and security a lot of security and privacy guys and and

workshops on that we do workshops in bordell we provide some education to public right so yeah three minutes some more questions or something or I can just yeah thank you I'm just wondering as we're on stream what is something you would still really love to organize here which hasn't happened yet oh that's a good question let's say Well it brag I'm so glad it happened I mean we we postponed it during before because they've recovered but I am so glad it's happening it's amazing isn't it uh what I would like to organize here um some mono conferences coming that will be that it will be fun uh hopefully I

don't want to leak anything though and um but I part of that uh there was um there was actually also one of the uh uncles to bordel the community and uh hagatoshi's I was first year was more International than it was local and I would like to have hackathon of this size but being in hakatoshi which is not focused just on ethereum but like more on the hacking than like building projects and like all the also in the similar Vibe of like you know actually doing some some cool stuff somehow hiking the society and hacking

our ways to the Pearl Society yeah um and then one thing I forgot to mention actually uh [ __ ] who the hell um uh one thing I forgot to mention is that there is this beautiful qf uh around happening it's initiative coming somehow from EF where there is a matching ground on of some money which pool and you can vote which project will get some share of this so you can find it uh there if you go further to Fabrica with the booths uh there are nice ladies from EF which will explain you how to vote and please uh like read through the project there's uh there is many local communities I I was bothering to signs so I hope they will get some votes and
