Open Conversations: From the Ground Up: Localizing Blockchain for Real-World Impact (Anke Liu)

Funding the Commons Open Conversations · 1:53

Financial inclusion is framed as a problem that touches food, health care and credit, with 1.7 billion unbanked people in the world. Anke Liu says the nonprofit supporting the Stellar network believes in empowering communities locally, and describes a plan to serve displaced people, specifically Burmese communities spread across Southeast Asia. A residency, design jam and hackathon would be used to ideate with refugees and humanitarian aid partners on the ground and get their endorsement of solutions and pilots.
