Issues in EVM Equivalence

Name: Issues in EVM Equivalence
Duration: 14 min 26 s
Description: Danno Ferrin examines the practical gaps between EVM-equivalent chains and true Ethereum mainnet behavior at Devconnect Istanbul 2023. The talk covers edge cases in opcode behavior, gas accounting, and precompile support where L2s and alternative EVM implementations diverge from mainnet, and what that means for developers who assume full compatibility when porting contracts across chains.
