Identity: private or public "good"?

ETHPorto 2023 · 17 Mar 2023 · 25:00

Ana-Maria Pricop examines digital identity at ETHPorto 2023, asking whether identity should function as a private matter individuals control or a public good the ecosystem builds collectively. The talk weighs decentralized identity systems against the privacy and self-sovereignty concerns that motivate much of Ethereum's identity work, treating the tension between personal control and public infrastructure as unresolved rather than settled.
