director. To begin, I'd like to invite Miss Shia, co-executive director of the Ethereum Foundation to deliver the opening address. Everyone please. [Music] [Music] Yeah. So, uh, honored to be here to give the opening
speech. So I'm the co one of the co-stive directors at Eastern Foundation um is um this year in July is had its um 10th anniversary and then yesterday actually was like a uh it's a merge anniversary like three year anniversary. The merge happened in like three years ago in 2022 uh September 15th.
So um the merge is like the insurance transition from proof of work to proof of uh stake in it consensus mechanism. It was like a shooting star projects for the blockchain area. We coordinated over hundreds uh developers and thousands uh node operators to be able to uh made a full list transitions with all the uh eeran nodes on manet it helped like uh we reduced over 99% energy consumement for our eeran manet validators.
Yeah. So I think we we believe that three years 10 years it's uh just a starter when we come back to see this uh it will be just the one of the small milestones we will made after 10 years I expect um the payments will be instant and robust secure as much as we can and it will be seamless and insurance infrastructure will be the basic um infrastructure in people's life. It will be the most um consensus resilience and opensource open platform for people to develop their
software on blockchain industry and we also believe that privacy is important and in 10 years it should be normal. So I'm happy very happy to be here for ATCON for this four days events and thank you for the orcon organizers and also thank you to the Osaka governance for helping us. Okay, now that's it. Thank you.
