hi everyone thank you all for coming to my presentation any abitur uh down there if you use arbitr W arbitrum is freedom thank you all uh Nina here from the arbitrum foundation I'm the head of ecosystem development at arbitrum I've been with the ecosystem for three years and today I have a very exciting presentation about the new orbit Trum orbit technology um raise your hand if you know that any developers can use orbit Tac to build a layer two or layer three with arbitrum Tac oo nice anyone have a favorite arbitrum Layer Two or layer three in

mind yeah what's your favorite arbit from Layer Two or layer three which one I can't hear you but uh oh rable yes that's one of the first ler three we have cool so today I'm going to be the advocate of the Arbitron orbit Tech we're going to talk about customizability and that's exactly why layer 3 or top tier one project like rable is choosing ARR Tac for their own chain so let's first talk about arbitrum for those who don't know us yet uh we are a eum scaling solution uh we provide Ultra fast um very cheap transaction that's about 10 to 50 times cheaper than

eim layer one especially after the most recent EIP uh 4844 um and we have security directly derived from eim with active fraud proof um so uh users can have a very good experience with without worrying about the security of the fund and if you're a developer we are completely evm compatible you can just use the exact same code you use to build on e ler one drop it into arbitrum it will work and currently we have three core products the first one is arbitrum one which is our Flagship chain defi chain we also have Arbitron Nova which is our gaming chain and most importantly Arbitron orbit which is I will which is

the product I will dive uh into the deepest today but before that I want to talk a bit more about Arbitron one uh I'm I'm sure this is probably the one that you guys are most familiar with so arbitrum one has been around for almost 3 years we have about 17 billion uh tvl in our ecosystem this is the largest defi chain today beside e layer one we are 47% of the layer 2 market share uh we have about 2,000 dabs if not more obviously permissionless blockchain so I do not keep count but at least 2,000 is my estimation um we have about 21 million unique addresses and some of the our most notable clients are Franklin

Temperon uh Fiat Norwegian government most recently we announced a partnership with Robin Hood as well um so a lot of exciting things are happening on Arbitron one ecosystem and here's my favorite stats that I always want to show this is not accurate anymore because uh since two days ago we passed 1.7 million e in the ecosystem we are the I believe the number four largest contract that's holding East so we have enormous amount of East in our ecosystem showing that the etherman community have so much trust in arbitrum to put their long-term Assets in here um and you can see that we have more ease than all the other chains

combined cool now orbitum orbit this is uh very exciting so let me talk about different types of orbit chain we have so orbitron orbit basically allows any developers to permissionless use the same technology as RB from wner NOA to build their own chains and there are different ways they can do it they can build a layer two and parallel of arbitrum one or Nova and settles on on is layer one or they can build layer threes that um directly uh settles on arbit one one or Nova or they can build a layer three that settles on other layer tws like optimism or base and

what's exciting is that yesterday we actually um um there's a proposal in a dow that to allow Builders to build a layer two on top of a BNB or even Bitcoin um because we receive a lot of requests from Bitcoin B&B Avalanche all the layer one uh builders that they want to build layer twos on not e layer one but on other layer ones so there are all kinds of different chains you can spin out with arbitrum technology it's all the same tax deck but we are branching out um two different ecosystems um so why what's what are benefits of arbitrum orbit chain first like again your chain usage uh you can

have a simplified governance um we have governance um independently govern themselves and Define the government system you don't have to follow our governance you have the freedom to decide make your own decisions from your own Community um it also has alternative data availability if you want to use SLA if you want to use uh um igon layer you're free to do so we have that supported and the big question we want to ask before or for anybody to dive into the arbitrum orbit tag is why would you want your arbitrum chain right first why would I need my own chain and second why would I why would I choose arbitrum Tac not not other tax stack that's out

there very competitive market so because like I mentioned Arbitron Freedom um this is the uh slogan we have this is what our community believes in because arbitr is freedom and why is that it's because customizability if you're a builder you want to launch your own chain you want to be able to make your own decisions you don't have to build a chain that's exactly like Arbitron one or Nova you can design the parameters you can design so many things that will allow the chains to be built in a way that serves your community and for example you first is you can go beyond arbitrum if ARB obviously by default you will have the same updates the technical

updates as Arbitron one or Nova technology but if you don't want that you can choose to not update your chain if you don't want that you can decide to update your own chain in the way you want and second you is the increased gas price reliability so many types of dabs rely on predictable transaction cost and orbit chains are isolated from public arbitrum traffic arbitrum one is one of the largest right now if you don't want to have price volatility building your own chain will ensure that you have control over that and there's a native account abstraction if you want to do a zero gas fee experience with orbitron

orbit teac you can easily do that um there's a customizable protocol logic this is one of my favorite if you don't like the way the transaction settled if you don't like our governance protocols you don't have to follow follow the Arbitron wner Nova design right if you can play around with different designs You Can Be Your Own Boss there's a e ether's a security derived on uh etherum layer one um and many cases one of the most interes in case I see it's permissioned access um a lot of clients are trying to launch a chain that's um legally regulated compliant um and one of the things they have to do in order to achieve that is

to have uh permission access so with Arbitron one or any other General ecosystem there's no way you could do that but with with your own chain there are a lot of things you can play around with kyc users with who can access your chain what kind of transparency you have on the chain for if it is this the Athos of crypto I don't know but um this is this is the first step where crypto are start meeting uh the regulation requirements and and how this work is that now any team can permissionless deploy Layer Two and layer three as long as they agree if it's a layer three not settling to orbitron one or Nova they need or Layer Two that's in parallel of

orbitron one they need to contribute eight% of a sequencer profit to arbitrum Dow and 2% to developer Guild de if you are a developer in the audience we I really welcome you to contribute to the arbitrum tax deck um you will be part of the 2% um developer Guild um we really are an initiative of decentralizing our uh tax deack development and if you are interested please come and talk to me and we can discuss and if you choose to launch your own chain with orbit technology we have a lot of uh partners that are already supporting this technology layer zero metam Mas some of the most commonly used

tools um that you guys are already very familiar with and let's let's look at who who is building orbit um today um first we have sides layer three an trust chain it's gaming specific uh very interesting recommend to check it out um and then there is um other side nfts apal a AP already uh approved using Arbitron orbit tech for their own chain U not you not sure if you see auki are going to be launching their own chain with ARB Trum Tech as well um we are going to be getting more and more tier one brand into the arbitrum orbit ecosystem treasure obviously grew up in the arbitrum community um still part of arbitrum community decide to launch

their own orbit chain um kto complying Layer Two row up for institutions uh frame. XYZ proof of play um all of these are very exciting projects that's in the ecosystem I I see a lot of people are taking pictures I do encourage you to all check out some of this project they are really awesome builders and they are really good uh partners of our ecosystem so as a builder how do you start building on orbitum orbit here's are some links and documentations that you can play around with obviously you can get in touch with me after this and I'll be able to answer some questions I will leave this page on um for people to take notes and qu and take pictures um

at the same time anybody have any questions I'd love to open the floor for for it go ahead uh the question is is orbit a side chain as arbitrum no we don't have a tax stack of side chain as I mentioned um uh orbit is either a layer two tag or layer three tag that settles either on arbitrum or on layer one or on other layer twos go ahead how is chain link supporting orbit solution if you are a uh protocol that's building a chain on orbit technology and

you would like to have chain link support uh we will be helping you to connect with the chain link team and they will be willing to build support for your chain will they be in so I think this I think this really depends chain Ling has their own requirements ments in terms of like what sort of um what kind of token pair they support so obviously has to be something they can realistically get accurate data for um so it's Case by case go ahead operability is supported with an L3 thanks um so for example like if you

want to communicate um with like a Unis swap or some other smart contract that would be on like layer one or a layer two does it need to be deployed specifically in Layer Two that you're um settling to does it need to have like a layer three presence like how do you manage interoperability from your L3 let's say to any other smart contract so there are two ways we can do this first one is if you are Layer Two settled settled on in layer one or layer three that settled on Arbitron one obviously you're going to have a bridge between your blockchain and the settlement layer right so that's very easy straightforward um and another thing is now there like layer zero all this bridging product they can help you with um the third is that um the the chief

scientist at offchain Labs uh has proposed a idea of chain cluster meaning that for example if youi swap luncher chain and let's say GM Max which is a large proex in Arco system they also launches a CH and they're both really big defi protocols and they want to talk to each other and they can say that let's all use the same sort of design same sort of API in our chains and we can two of us can talk to each other so this is idea of a chain cluster where you don't necessarily need to be interp Parable to everybody out there because because if you're defi you you probably have a few Partners who work close with if you're gaming you probably have few

Partners who work Clos closely with then you can build your own small group of chain cluster that can simless have Bridge with each other cool go ahead yeah hi we we actually trying to uh use choose between arbitrum and oback as well and what should we consider if we choose arbitrum not OB stack with OP stack yeah oh cool uh so the question is what's the difference between arbitr from orbit and op stack um so I think the first optimism doesn't have active fraud proof uh they have been saying this since three years ago and three

years later I'm still saying this um for anybody who doesn't understand fraud proof is the mechanism that secures a chain if a layer to doesn't have active fraud proof um it's it found could could be at risk it hasn't happened yet but doesn't mean it won't happen um and arbitrum um fraud proof is live from since day one since three years ago I joined um so that's the primary difference second is um I don't have the slides here today but there's a chart out there that compares the transaction finality speed between all the chains and Arbitron we're sitting at a quarter of a second we're the fastest among all the chains

optimism I believe it's about two to three seconds so depending on what you're building if it's a gaming project that's critical because no gamer wants to wait for three seconds until like they see the result uh for defi users similarly they probably want to have a better finality experience as well so that's really big you exper um and I don't know if you're bring ler two or layer three for layer three Arbitron one has the largest liquidity and similar to the answer I the question before if you are a layer three on Arbitron one you have simulus bridge between Arbitron one meaning that you can tap into the 17 billion tvl that's currently sitting on arbitrum one and uh that's really beneficial for or def5 protocols or

gaming protocols that hes to get a deep liquidity on their token um so I think that's the uh three Adventures I can have off the top of my head I have a lot more but I will not be going down the list today thanks any other questions cool thank you all for uh coming to the presentation I would love to connect if anybody is building arbitrum and hope you have the Great the rest of the days
