William Le

William Le was chief executive of Haraka, a startup that issued stablecoin-based microloans tied to social reputation to reach underserved borrowers in Kenya and Ghana through its Bondy app, before winding the company down in May 2026. Earlier in his career he worked on GiveDirectly's basic income program in Kenya, billed as the world's largest UBI initiative, and later contributed to crypto-native UBI experiments while speaking publicly about stablecoin adoption, including at TOKEN2049 Singapore. At ETHBoulder 2026 he spoke on universal basic income in the age of AI, a talk that sits within the archive's coverage of AI, onchain agents, and philosophy and values.
