Travis Kling
Travis Kling is the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Ikigai Asset Management, a crypto investment firm he launched in 2018 after a decade in traditional finance. He was previously a long/short equity portfolio manager at Steve Cohen's Point72 Asset Management, an energy analyst at Magnetar Capital, and an investment banker at Simmons and Company, and he holds a BBA in Accounting and an MS in Finance from Texas A&M University. Ikigai became one of the more candid case studies of the 2022 contagion when a large majority of its assets were frozen in the FTX collapse; the firm sold its bankruptcy claims, rebuilt, and returned to full operation. He is a frequent podcast guest on macro and crypto market structure and is known for framing crypto as a response to unsustainable government fiscal policy.
