Richard Craib
Richard Craib is the founder of Numerai, a San Francisco hedge fund that crowdsources stock market predictions from a global network of anonymous data scientists who stake the Numeraire (NMR) token on their models. A South African former quant, he launched Numerai in 2015 on the thesis that open participation and encrypted data could beat closed teams of elite quants. The fund has grown from a crypto experiment into an institutional product, with hundreds of millions in assets and a $500 million capital commitment from JPMorgan Asset Management announced in 2025. Craib has been part of the Ethereum ecosystem since its 2014 crowdsale.
