Mihailo Bjelic

Mihailo Bjelic is a co-founder of Polygon, the Ethereum scaling network he launched in 2017 as Matic Network alongside Jaynti Kanani, Sandeep Nailwal, and Anurag Arjun. He played a central role in the project's technical direction, including its push into zero-knowledge technology and the launch of Polygon zkEVM, and helped shape the Polygon 2.0 vision of an aggregated network of chains. In May 2025 he stepped down from the Polygon Foundation board and wound down his day-to-day work at Polygon Labs, the third of the four co-founders to leave an active role, saying the project's vision had diverged from his own while pledging to keep cheering from the sidelines.
