Michael Bentley
Michael Bentley is the co-founder of Euler Labs, the team behind Euler Finance, a permissionless lending protocol he started in 2020. Before crypto he was an academic researcher at the University of Oxford, studying evolutionary game theory and dynamic systems. He led Euler through its hardest chapter, a roughly $200 million flash loan exploit in March 2023, and then through the rebuild and relaunch of Euler v2, which grew to over $4 billion in total deposits within a year. In January 2026 he stepped back from the CEO role into an advisory and product-focused position as the protocol pivoted toward institutional credit markets.
