Matt Hougan
Matt Hougan is the chief investment officer of Bitwise Asset Management, the crypto index fund and ETF specialist behind products including the Bitwise Bitcoin ETF (BITB), where he is one of the most quoted voices on how crypto fits into institutional portfolios. Before joining Bitwise in 2018, he was CEO of ETF.com and Inside ETFs, where he built the first institutional ETF data and analytics system and the industry's largest ETF conference. He co-authored two CFA Institute Research Foundation publications, including Cryptoassets: The Guide to Bitcoin, Blockchain and Cryptocurrency for Professional Investors, writes a crypto column for Forbes, and is a three-time member of the Barron's ETF Roundtable. He is a graduate of Bowdoin College.
