Matt Cutler
Matt Cutler is the co-founder and CEO of Blocknative, the Ethereum infrastructure company known for real-time mempool monitoring, gas estimation, block building, and MEV tooling that became embedded in wallets and protocols across the ecosystem. Blocknative was his fifth startup: his first, web analytics pioneer NetGenesis, went public in 2000 during the Web 1.0 boom, and his previous company, mobile collaboration platform Collaborate.com, was acquired by Cisco in 2013. In May 2026, Deloitte acqui-hired the Blocknative team and the company began winding down its standalone API services and Gas Network. Cutler remains one of the clearest explainers of Ethereum's transaction supply chain and MEV economics, and has been a recurring guest across Bankless, Empire, Bell Curve, 0xResearch, and The Rollup.
