Kevin Zhou

Kevin Zhou is the co-founder of Galois Capital, a quantitative crypto hedge fund he started in 2017 after serving as head of trading at Kraken. He became one of the industry's most prominent contrarian voices after publicly warning about and shorting Terra's UST weeks before its May 2022 collapse, and he was a leading advocate for keeping an Ethereum proof-of-work fork alive around the Merge. Galois lost roughly half its assets in the FTX collapse and wound down its flagship fund in early 2023, later settling SEC custody-rule charges for $225,000 in 2024 without admitting or denying the findings.
