Keone Hon

Keone Hon is the co-founder and CEO of Monad, a high-performance, EVM-compatible layer 1 blockchain built around parallel execution. Before founding Monad Labs in 2022 with James Hunsaker and Eunice Giarta, he spent about eight years at Jump Trading, where he led a high-frequency trading team, and later worked at Jump Crypto on blockchain research and DeFi infrastructure. Under his leadership Monad raised a $225 million round led by Paradigm and took its chain from a much-discussed parallel EVM thesis to a public mainnet launch. His path from building low-latency trading systems to designing a faster EVM is a recurring theme in his appearances.
