Joshua Bate
Joshua Bate is co-founder and CEO of DeSci World, a decentralized science project he helped start in 2021, and co-founder of Bonfires, a knowledge layer platform built by DeSci World. He has written about decentralized science for the web3 publication The Periphery and discussed DeSci World's funding and governance model on independent podcasts including Bankless Africa and The GENE. Bonfires extracts and organizes shared knowledge from team communications on platforms such as Telegram, Discord and Slack, structuring it into a searchable knowledge network. His two ETHBoulder 2026 talks trace that same throughline: a solo session on Bonfires' collective intelligence graph and a panel, with Rodrigo and Eva, on trust and funding in open science.
