Joe McCann

Joe McCann is the founder, CEO, and CIO of Asymmetric, a crypto investment firm backed by investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Chris Dixon, and Circle. His career spans more than two decades across Wall Street and Silicon Valley: he founded NodeSource, known as the Node.js company, ran quantitative and systematic crypto trading at hedge fund Passport Capital, and served as a senior director in Microsoft's Cloud and AI organization. A vocal Solana bull and regular markets commentator, he wound down Asymmetric's liquid fund in July 2025 after steep losses while keeping the firm's venture strategy intact.
