Jake Brukhman

Jake Brukhman is the founder and CEO of CoinFund, one of the first blockchain-focused investment firms in the United States, which he launched in 2015 after discovering Bitcoin in 2011. An early investor in Bitcoin and Ethereum and in networks like The Graph and Rarible, he helped popularize the idea of generalized mining, where funds actively participate in the networks they back rather than simply holding tokens. Born in St. Petersburg to a family of computer scientists, he studied mathematics and computer science at Rutgers and NYU Courant, and worked as an engineer at Amazon and in financial technology at Highbridge Capital Management before serving as Partner and CTO at Triton Research.
