Cody Gunton
Cody Gunton is a research engineer at the Ethereum Foundation, working on the zkEVM team. He holds a PhD in number theory from the University of Arizona and has previously worked as a cryptography engineer at Aztec and held a postdoctoral position at the University of Copenhagen. His public work centers on zero-knowledge proof systems and formal verification, including test tooling for RISC-V based zkVMs and Lean 4 verification work for the zisk zkVM. His ETHBoulder 2026 talk on the archive covers zkEVMs, optional proofs, and lean execution approaches to scaling Ethereum with zero-knowledge proofs.
