Bo Waggoner
Bo Waggoner researches how information can be elicited and combined when participants act strategically, with work spanning computer science and market design. In joint research with Rafael Frongillo and Maneesha Papireddygari, Waggoner showed a technical equivalence between certain constant-function automated market makers and prediction markets. The result connects rules for facilitating trades with rules for revealing beliefs about events, allowing tools from the two kinds of markets to be used together. Waggoner has worked as an assistant professor of computer science at the University of Colorado Boulder.
