Arianna Simpson

Arianna Simpson is a venture investor who spent roughly six years as a general partner at Andreessen Horowitz, where she invested across the firm's multibillion-dollar crypto funds with a focus on DeFi, gaming, NFTs, and web3 infrastructure. Her deals included leading a16z's $152 million round in Axie Infinity developer Sky Mavis and backing Yield Guild Games, and she co-led the launch of the firm's $4.5 billion fourth crypto fund in 2022. Before joining a16z she founded Autonomous Partners, an early crypto investment fund, helped launch the early-stage fund Crystal Towers Capital, and held sales and product roles at Facebook and the digital asset security company BitGo. She first fell down the crypto rabbit hole around 2013 after witnessing the aftermath of hyperinflation while traveling in Zimbabwe.
