Andrew Lewis-Pye
Andrew Lewis-Pye is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the London School of Economics, where he teaches a course on the mathematics of cryptocurrencies and the blockchain. Trained in mathematical logic, computability theory, and algorithmic randomness, with earlier fellowships at the University of Leeds and the University of Siena, he has focused his recent research on blockchain consensus protocols and tokenomics. He is a frequent collaborator with Tim Roughgarden and a16z crypto research, with work spanning permissionless consensus, DAG-based protocols, and liveness guarantees for Avalanche's Snow family of protocols.
