Andrew Fierman served as head of sanctions strategy at Chainalysis. Fierman has explained how blockchain transaction analysis is used to assess illicit finance, including the limits of estimates of terrorist fundraising. This work has included examining the methodology behind widely reported cryptocurrency-funding figures and explaining Chainalysis’s corrections to those claims.
