Alex Tapscott

Alex Tapscott is the CEO of CMCC Global Capital Markets and one of the most widely read authors on what blockchains mean for business, money, and markets. He co-authored the international bestseller Blockchain Revolution with Don Tapscott, and his 2023 book Web3: Charting the Internet's Next Economic and Cultural Frontier became a Wall Street Journal bestseller translated into multiple languages. In 2017 he co-founded the Blockchain Research Institute, a global think tank studying blockchain strategy and use cases, and he previously served as Head of the Digital Asset Group and a portfolio manager at Ninepoint Partners before joining CMCC Global to build its capital markets arm. A CFA charterholder and Amherst College graduate, he is a frequent speaker and commentator on digital assets, tokenization, and crypto market structure.
