Alex Romanov led engineering at Beam, a privacy-focused blockchain based on Mimblewimble. The team’s work combined Mimblewimble with the Lelantus privacy protocol to reduce links between transaction senders and receivers. It also added a virtual machine for applications such as decentralized exchanges and a collateral-backed stablecoin, alongside atomic swaps for exchanging assets across blockchains.
