Alejandro Ranchal

Alejandro Ranchal worked on Filecoin’s F3 fast-finality architecture and GossiPBFT consensus protocol at Protocol Labs. Other Protocol Labs work included security guarantees for interoperable Filecoin subnets and the Mir state-machine replication framework. Ranchal later researched security, scalability and costs for Scroll’s Ethereum zero-knowledge rollup. Earlier work covered payment-channel scaling and attacks on the Lightning Network. Doctoral research at the University of Sydney examined blockchain subnets, security and decentralization.
